If you build battery packs, repair power tools, or you're just tired of buying mystery cells off the internet and hoping for the best — you're in the right place. I'm Nate, and this is where I write down what I actually learn at the bench. Real builds, real results, and the stuff that went wrong along the way. Let me tell you who I am and what we're doing here.
## Who I am
I came up the hard way on the technical side. I was an Electronics Tech in the Navy — graduated in the top 3 of my class at submarine school — and then spent about 30 years driving truck and working around diesel. That's a long way of saying I've spent my whole life around equipment that has to actually work, where "close enough" gets you stranded on the side of the road. That mindset is exactly how I approach batteries.
I'm not a lab. I'm not here to out-test the guys who do nothing but test cells all day — when I need hard numbers I'll point you straight to them. What I bring is different: I'm the guy who actually puts these cells into real packs, runs them, and tells you straight what held up and what didn't. Earned opinion, not a spec sheet.
## What we do at 21700Supply
21700Supply is a battery cell shop I run with my son Landon, who's my co-owner and handles the business end — the admin, the books, and the website that keeps the whole thing running. He studyied computer engineering and finance, so he keeps me honest on the parts of this that aren't soldering.
Our whole idea is simple: sell a tight, curated lineup of high-drain 21700 and 18650 cells that we actually build with ourselves, and be straight with you about them. We're not trying to stock 500 SKUs of whatever's cheapest this week. We carry the cells we trust — the ones that go into our own builds — and we try our best to keep them in stock so you've got a reliable place to get good cells when you need them.
If you've ever ordered "authentic" cells and gotten rewrapped junk with a fantasy capacity printed on the side, you already know why that matters.

This is where the real knowledge lives. I'll be writing up:
- Build guides — how I pick cells for a given job, how I match and sort them, how I make cheap cells perform like expensive ones.
- Bench notes — the gear I use, the tricks that aren't documented anywhere, the failures worth learning from.
- Straight talk on cells — what's worth your money, what to avoid, and how to not get burned.
No fluff, no filler written by a robot to game a search engine. If I write it, it's because I learned it the hard way and figured you might as well skip that part.
